Dolls Day Out With Pelo Hairdressing!
What an exciting weekend I had!! Dolls Day Out with Pelo Hairdressing organised by Denise Philips took place in the Osprey Hotel on Sunday 17th and I had the pleasure of styling it alongside Fashion Aid Blog and I MC’d the whole event!
The event was a day of pampering, fun, fashion, fitness and treats for all the women around Newbridge, Co. Kildare! I had been down during the week with Eadoin Burke from Fashion Aid Blog styling the event, we chose from 4 shops in the Newbridge area, United Colours of Benetton, Vanity Fair, Maybelle, and Buy Design in Crookstown. Now I had never been to Newbridge so was unsure what to expect but the clothes were fab and the selection was great.
All of the shops (bar Benetton) make or rent hats to match pieces and really spice up that outfit. The ladies were all so helpful and we have such a fun day. I never got to go to Buy Design so after looking on line I was so excited to see what the clothes looked like (See my What I Wore!)
The event too place on Sunday 17th April and was one of the most anticapated events in Kildare. We arrived at 9 o’clock to set up getting all tables goodie bags and treat ready for the Kildare women. At 11 O’clock the doors opened and an array of beautifully dressed women arrived! I was so excited to get started at this stage. After checking all models, models clothes, and getting myself dressed I headed on stage! After introducing myself and Pelo Hairdressing, the fab Brian from Fitness 4 Life Ireland came on stage. He talked through all the fitness tips solely for women and explained about what his company does.
We then went onto a demo from the fab Grace from FacesByGrace. Grace did a day time look on one of the lucky ladies from the audience and she gave us so many tips on makeup, brushes and little tricks of the trade. After that the ladies were all treated to afternoon tea. I managed to nab a cake or two which was divine, just wish I could of grabbed more (definitily take a trip to the Opsrey hotel). I mingled with the girls and ladies in the audience and had some great chats.
After lunch the fab Eadoin from Fashion Aid Blog MC’d the Fashion show. We used ladies from the local area, so picked real women and had styles to suit all ages, shapes and sizes. Sarah from Sarah Secrets blog modelled for us showing us some gorgeous styles. It was such a pleasure to meet Sarah, make sure to follow her blog! The show went down a treat and I would defiitely see a few sales been made after the show. (Eadoin already has bought a jacket, and Denise half the shop LOL)
Now since it was a organised by a hair salon we of course had to have a hair talk and as I said before with Pelo Hairdressing you only get the best. Nigel Kenny came on and talked products and hair growth, he is the man to go to for the perfect healthy hair!
Makeup By Merry then showed us how to contour, she had us in stitches with all her tips, tricks, the funny faces that you have to pull and let us know about all the bargain products around Kildare!
Now for any of you who know me you will know I love tan, so chatting to Jen from The Tan I got loads of tips…. tip one.. do not use bleach on your hands for tanning disasters (yes I have done this). The Tan will be coming to the Osprey hotel so make sure to book in for your spray! At the end of the day we all chatted and went over the day! All the girls seemed to love it, a huge thanks to Denise for having me MC the event, I loved every minute of it!
Can’t wait till the next one guys!
